I was joking with someone about rectal thermometers today, and the discussion turned a bit serious. Do people still use rectal thermometers? We have digital thermometers that can take a babies temperature in less than a few seconds, so the rectal temperature just does not seem very necessary. I am sure they are still made, but it just seems like such an obsolete technology.  Well at any rate, rectal thermometers do make for good jokes.

I had to turn off the comments on the other rectal thermometer posts because I kept on getting a ton of spam comments from some bot. Hundreds of spam comments kept hitting my in box, so I decided to do something about it. After a while I may turn the comments back on, because every now and then someone does leave a comment. You just got to love Rectal Thermometers.

This is now the Active Rectal Thermometer Blog. All of the rectal thermometer related posts from the site previously known as My Rectal Thermometer Blog, except for one post, have been transfered here.

Any other post on this blog will either pertain to or mention Rectal thermometers.

I came across a forum where the use of rectal thermometers on teenagers was discussed. In one thread of the forum, a trainer stated that student athletes in some schools are now required to have a rectal thermometer temperature check before and after work outs. Of course the schools need to have parent approval, and another male has to be present. Wow, that is another thing to admire those guys for doing that for the game.LOl  That is Dedication.
