Rectal Thermometers and Athletes
I came across a forum where the use of rectal thermometers on teenagers was discussed. In one thread of the forum, a trainer stated that student athletes in some schools are now required to have a rectal thermometer temperature check before and after work outs. Of course the schools need to have parent approval, and another male has to be present. Wow, that is another thing to admire those guys for doing that for the game.LOl That is Dedication.

I have many times taken a RT on an athlete who has gotten carried away in the sun or at times a fireman who is at work on duty and we will rt him through out the fire fighting job as such perhaps some athletes should as well so they can stay on there feet after all the rt gets them off of their feet for a while and keeps the med pros abreast of there stamina no complaints to me when temp is taken and gals I teach are pro\’s.

I couldn’t understand some parts of this article Rectal Thermometers and Athletes is For SALE, but I guess I just need to check some more resources regarding this, because it sounds interesting.
